  •  Tilt Bed / Roll-Off: This is the most common delivery method. Your container arrives on a trailer that tilts back, placing one end of the container on the ground. The truck then pulls forward, allowing the container to slide or roll off the trailer into place.

Space Requirements for Roll-Off Delivery: A roll-off (tilt-bed) delivery requires a clear, straight-line path so the truck can safely place the container and pull away. As a general guideline, a 20-foot container typically needs about 60–75 feet of straight-line space, while a 40-foot container usually needs about 100–125 feet.

Key Site Requirements:

  • Straight-line access: Enough room for the truck to pull in, tilt, unload, and drive out in a straight line
  • Width clearance: At least 12 feet wide
  • Vertical clearance: At least 14–15 feet (to avoid trees, power lines, and overhangs)
  • Ground surface: Firm, level ground such as gravel, concrete, or asphalt to support the truck and container weight

A good rule of thumb is that the truck must be able to pull in, lower the bed, and drive out from under the container in one straight line.

We only sell CSC-certified shipping containers. This means the container meets international shipping standards for structural strength, safe lifting/stacking, and weather/water resistance. Each container includes a metal CSC plate (typically located on the left door) confirming it is approved for shipping and transport.

In addition to certification, every container goes through a multi-step inspection process:

  • Pre-delivery inspection to confirm door operation and overall condition
  • Driver pickup inspection before transport
  • Buyer inspection at delivery
  • Delivery sign-off confirming the container was inspected upon arrival by the customer

No, unfortunately, yard visits are not allowed. Container depots are active commercial facilities, and for safety and insurance reasons, the general public cannot enter the yard.

To help you buy with confidence, our containers are sold by clearly defined grades so you know what to expect before delivery. We also recommend understanding container certifications and condition standards upfront.

A CSC-certified shipping container meets the International Convention for Safe Containers (1972) and has passed structural and waterproofing requirements for international intermodal transport. This is verified by the metal CSC plate (typically located on the left door), confirming it is approved for lifting, stacking, and shipping.

Container pricing is based on current market supply and demand—not just size. In many markets, 20' containers are less common and more in demand, which can make them cost the same as (or sometimes even more than) a 40' container.

Because of inventory availability, there is often not a huge price difference between 20' and 40' containers.

This is a common issue and usually does not mean the container is damaged. In most cases, the problem is that the container is sitting on uneven or unlevel ground, which can cause the frame to twist slightly and make the doors stick.

Before delivery

Your container is inspected before delivery to ensure the doors are operating correctly. Our drivers also complete a second inspection at pickup/on-site before transport, and at delivery we ask you to inspect the container and sign off confirming you have reviewed its condition, including door operation.

Common causes

  • Uneven or soft ground
  • Ground settling after delivery
  • Weight inside the container is not evenly distributed

How to fix it

  • Make sure the container is on a level, firm surface (best options: concrete, asphalt, or compacted gravel)
  • Shim corners as needed using pressure-treated lumber, bricks, or concrete blocks/slabs
  • Check the door alignment/gasket and test the doors after each adjustment
  • Redistribute contents inside the container to keep weight balanced

Important tip

Even if the container was level at delivery, it may settle over time (especially on dirt, grass, or asphalt), so you may need to re-level and shim it again.,

At this time, we do not offer container modifications.

We currently sell shipping containers in their existing condition/grade only.
